Early life
Yogendra Chavhan Sir , born on July 5, 1995, into a middle-class Chavan family in Bhosari, was raised with strong values. His father owned a garage in their hometown while his mother devoted herself to homemaking. With a passion for drawing nurtured since childhood, he attended Siddheshwar English Medium School in Bhosari. After finishing his engineering studies, he got a job as a tele-calling executive at Big Basket. Yogendra shows hard work, honesty, and never gives up easily, which comes from his upbringing and personal character.
Engineering
Yogendra Chavhan Sir holds a degree in automobile engineering from DY Patil College of Engineering, Lohegaon. His parents worked so hard to arrange funds for his first and second-year engineering fees, while he had to take out a loan to cover the expenses. Throughout his engineering journey, he developed a deep passion for photography. In the last two years of his studies, he managed to turn his passion into a source of additional income, which helped him cover the fees for his third and fourth years of engineering.
Photography
During the first week of engineering, Yogendra Sir was quickly recognized as the “Photo Capturer” by everyone in college, marking the start of his journey as a photographer. Initially facing the challenge of acquiring a camera, he found immense support from his friends, who contributed to purchasing his first camera. Charging a modest fee of 30 rupees per photo in the beginning, Yogendra explored opportunities by going to Shanivar Wada on weekends, where he offered his photography services for 50 rupees a day, rapidly gaining popularity. This marked the humble beginnings of his journey, which has now flourished, establishing him as a renowned photographer.
Mentor
Emerging from his humble beginnings, Yogendra Chavhan nurtured a strong desire to help students succeed. In 2016, he started his own “Photography batch” with ten students from his home; thus ‘Yogendra Chavhan Photography Institute’ started .Under his guidance, over 1600 students have begin their photography careers. Understanding the challenges faced by students from rural backgrounds, the institute, under YCP, has carefully arranged affordable outdoor working trips to provide valuable experience. Yogendra’s commitment to his students’ dreams is clear, showing how much he wants them to do well.
